01. How long do your commissions take?We don’t offer strict deadlines since there are a lot of things that can be out of our hands. Once we’ve got all the materials ready to go, a fursuit head usually takes around 3 months to finish. That said, delays can happen — like fabric being out of stock, long waits on overseas supplies, or shipping hiccups. Thanks so much for your patience! 02. What are your heads made from?We use a mix of methods depending on the character's design! Some heads are sculpted from foam for flexibility and expression, while others use 3D-printed parts for precision and structure. It really comes down to what fits the character best — we always aim for the right balance of comfort, durability, and personality. 03. Do you have a public queue?Yes! You can find it here!
04. Do you take payment plans?We’re happy to offer payment plans (usually up to 4 months), depending on the type of commission. A small 5% fee is added for the plan, and late payments might have extra charges — but we’re flexible as long as you communicate with us! 05. 07. How do I order?Wait for the next opening to be announced on our page and submit an offer in the form that is provided during the opening!You'll be asked to pay your initial 20% deposit to be added onto the waitlist and won't need to pay anything further until your spot is up next!If you want to commission parts, just message me to discuss further! 08. If you have several years of experience, why do you only have a few examples?Before this, I was mostly teaming up with other makers, doing cosplay work, or grinding through my degree projects. But everything you see here? That’s 100% my own fursuit work since I kicked off my own studio. 09. Is there anything you will not do?The style you see here is exactly what you get when you commission us — no surprises, no switching it up. We don’t do knock-offs or copy other makers’ styles or methods. Originality is non-negotiable.

Houndmade Suits is a one-hound workshop crafting fierce, expressive fursuits that stand out. From smirking hellhounds to emo highland cows, every suit is built with chaos and stitched with character.I’ve been crafting for around 9 years, starting out in cosplay before fully diving into fursuit making.With a BA in Production Arts and Design, I love blending my theatre background with the fun, expressive world of the furry community — which I’m proud to now call home!

Do's n Dont's
Technical Limitations - We do not currently take commissions for overly realistic suits or characters with many gradients (unless explicitly opened for experimental commissions). Questions on what falls under the above can be clarified via communication with us. We will refuse any request to replicate or imitate a fellow artist’s work.
As a newer maker, some aspects of our work are still in the intermediate level and should be expected to have flaws that are consistent with a maker who is still working to master the craft. To assure customer satisfaction, free repairs for items such as popped seams within the first month of wear can be discussed and performed on a case-by-case basis. We can also provide resources on how to perform repairs yourself, where to find materials used to do so, etc.
Things We Are Happy to Do - We are open to creating works of closed species, fursuits with the intention of being used in NSFW dynamics, etc. Once a fursuit leaves the studio it is fully free for the owner’s personal use. ANY Commercial use must be noted prior to entering a contract with us and requires a separate commercial use agreement.
Payments and refunds
Refunds/Limitations and Liability - If there’s a sudden change in your financial status and you require a refund, you must send notice to us of the request immediately providing the reason. We request that you DO NOT open a dispute before attempting to open a direct line of communication with us regarding this (you will be blacklisted).
When your work has passed a certain stage of production, (materials bought/near finished) a full refund cannot be issued (within reason, we are always able to discuss partial refunds on a case-by-case basis). If no progress has been made (without active communication) for over 3 months from payment completion, we are required to refund the purchase in full. Progress includes; materials purchase, concept art, base creation, base alterations, etc. We are not responsible for supply chain delays, shipping issues, or damage caused after the product leaves the studio. All fursuit parts being shipped are required to have shipping insurance.
Payment Plans - Payment plans are accepted, but will incur an additional 5% convenience fee on top of any discussed sale cost. A late fee of £100 will be incurred for any late payment of over 2 weeks. No work will begin on the project until the balance due is paid in full. Exceptions may be made in writing at our discretion.
Other details
Providing Reference sheets - We require a clear 2-3 view reference sheet for all fursuit work. If you do not have a ref sheet, provide any art of the character that you have and an accurate and concise description of said character and a reference can be made for additional charge. (Please note, NSFW content is allowed with a provided warning.)
DTD/Measurement Requirements - All requested measurements and/or a Duct Tape Dummy is required prior to beginning work on fursuit commissions. We do not hold responsibility for any errors in measurement on the client’s part. Extended delays in providing these details/materials can result in receiving an updated position in the queue. We are not responsible for the cost/expense of a Duct Tape Dummy, and reserve the right to request a revised dummy if there are issues with the dummy provided. These issues include and are not limited to;
Improper pose of dummy
Personal hygiene issues
Destruction of dummy in transit
Improper construction of dummy
No Deadlines - WE DONT NOT WORK WITH DEADLINES. This has proven to reduce quality of work and increase likelihood of both customer and artist dissatisfaction. Please note this means that you will not be provided with a time frame in which the product will be completed. Consistent updates are always provided via Trello or DM.
AI Art/Machine Learning - Under no circumstances should any art produced by us should be used for AI/Bot/Machine Learning or AI “Art”. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Alterations/Edits - Edits and Alterations must coincide with current progress of the fursuit (example; a change to the face shape must be made during the carving/modeling phase). Upon receiving progress photos, the client is responsible for providing clear and concise feedback on any changes they’d like made at that stage. Any drastic or heavy alterations (change of ear style after ears are installed and approved) will incur a £50 fee.
Shipping + Handling - We are not responsible for freight handlers’ handling of packages. The cost of standard domestic shipping and shipping insurance will be included in the price of the commission. Any requirements outside of standard shipping (next day air/customs/etc) are to be incurred at the client’s expense.
Communication - We are open to any communication however we cannot guarantee immediate replies. Expect a reply within 1-2 business days. Please only contact our personal telegram if it is an emergency. We reserve the right to not reply if the message does not pertain to your commission.
Rights as an Artist/Commercial Use/Credit - As the artist, we hold the right to post/use your commissioned piece for marketing, general posting, etc. (This includes secret projects after completion). You are permitted to resell the piece for what it was purchased for if you have not added value. Revisions and modifications are at the customer’s discretion once it is in their possession.
You are expected to credit Houndmade/Houndmade Suits as the artist, DO NOT CREDIT YOURSELF for our work. If you are planning on using our work commercially you are expected to explicitly state that before work is started/payment is accepted so we can discuss fees (print licensing/commission per sale) and so we can provide you with the Commercial Use Agreement.
Secret Projects/Posting Works - If you would like your commission to be a secret (be it a gift/surprise) please make that clear prior to entering any agreements with us.
